{Healing}

My husband "healed me" yesterday right when he walked in the door after a very busy day at work, I was standing at the window waiting on him to drive up, feeling very blue, almost speechless, couldn't even find words to say I felt so "bad" so defeated, sad, helpless, no light at the end of the tunnel feeling, he walked in and looked at me and said "what's wrong" I just looked at him, still couldn't talk, no crying, just empty, he hugged me, I started to talk... I expressed my feelings, he listened, he gave his 2 cents, he didn't just say "things" to make me feel better, he's an honest, tell it like it is kinda guy, he also told me that the I can't let the devil try and take over, and I really needed to hear that, but he did "heal" me if you will, and I felt I could actually function again, we then served ourselves some dinner that I had prepared and just existed together (kids were out playing) he gets me, I felt so grateful for his words that I later thanked him, he just nodded his head at me with that look...

{Psalms}

I am a book lover, I love to read, always have. I am semi-picky on what I read though, not too big on horror, or really deep books, biographies that might depress me, if I am going to spend time reading I want to feel good about it, not sad and disturbed, believe me I have been there, done that! There is one book however that I don't pick up often enough, and that is my Bible, I have always been involved in bible studies and really enjoy them, doing my studies, reading the assigned scriptures... but when I am not in a study I kinda just forget about it, it's sad, but true. One of my favorite books of the Bible is Psalms, I have always had a "thing for Psalms" the verses just talk to me, and isn't that the whole point? anyway last night I started reading and I pulled out the handy dandy highlighter and started marking what I felt were things I needed to apply to my life, or post on the frig, my bathroom mirror...
I am so excited about this, I can't wait to read some more, it truly makes me happy and fulfilled and there are times in my life that I need more than just the normal day to day, I need something bigger than ever, bigger than me, and that is God.

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:9-10

{Prayers for my children}

A back to school prayer for my precious children
I pray that you will not feel nervous when you get up in the morning, I want you to feel excitement about the wonder of your day
I pray that you feel excitement about your new school Hannah and how lucky you are to have such great new things to help you learn
I pray that Cameron will find his classes just fine and feel confidence and not insecurity
I pray that you will feel so excited to see friends you haven't seen all summer
I pray that you make new friends
I pray that you will like your new teachers and listen and pay close attention to what they have to say, they are preparing you for your future
I pray that if you do feel a little homesick that you will think of home and get that warm and cozy feeling and know how loved you are.
I love you,
Mommy

We're busy getting ready for school around here this week, all the supplies are bought, I just love all the new stuff, clothes are bought, new shoes were bought yesterday and they are thrilled with their choices and so am I!!! Tomorrow night is meet the teacher at both schools, so between 5-7 we will be meeting teachers, finding classes, setting up locker (Cameron) and exploring H new school, the lucky little girl will be in a brand new school, just built and we can't wait to take the tour!!! yeah!

We are trying to fit as much fun stuff as we can into the next few days, last night we did night time swimming with my sis and her kids, and that was so much fun, today we are just chillin for the most part as it is so incredibly hot and the humidity is ridiculous, which has made me feel really bad MS wise, I don't feel so great right now.

Cameron and my dad are getting their haircut this afternoon, this is a tradition for them, they always go together which works for me, thanks Dad!!! he is getting shaggy and needs a clean up for school, H had hers done a few weeks ago, speaking of hair, I need to make my appt. my roots ain't lookin too good, haha!! You know awhile back I told you some new exciting things were in the works for me, well, they are starting to happen and I coouldn't be more thrilled, more on that to come!!! Other than that, life is good, we are happy, I love my little family so much and am so proud of them, I am so glad they are mine!!!!

{Crabbines}

Let's hear it from all the busy moms right now??!!! it is that time again, I was making a to do list yesterday and have been trying to mark off as much as I can today! ha! Seriously there is so much to do right now, I was really crabby this morning as I looked at my messy kitchen, living room, etc... the mess from the weekend, and Cameron had a friend spend the night so they ate everything in the house, these are the times I am ready for school, and then when I am in a kind frame of mind, I feel guilty for wishing them back to school, are yall with me??? and the heat does not help my mood, ladies I am sweating so bad these days, like, embarrasing sweating, how nasty is that? Off, the subject real quick Hannah just came in from playing with a friend and is mad because the friend wouldn't let H hold her hamster, and she let the other friend hold it, it's so not fair!!! life is tough when your 8!! and those who know H, she gets very angry real easy and it's not pretty! anywho, tonight my sister and I are meeting at Wal-mart and finishing our school shopping, no kids, and hopefully it won't be too crowded later tonight, I don't do crowds too well!! so needless to say I am looking forward to spending time with her, we always have a great time no matter where or what we're doing!! Here's to not be crabby anymore!!! there's no time to be crabby now is there???? haha

{Truckin on}

Don't you just love my little buttons I have been posting? too cute and they say what I feel so they are an added bonus. The reason for "keep on truckin" is because I sometimes get so discouraged about things when they don't quite go my way, even though nothing is wrong, nothing has happened, it just may not be on "MY TIMETABLE" boy, wouldn't that be nice if it worked out that way!!! I know I told you before that I had some good things on the agenda, and they still are, but not without a few bumps mind you, I hate it that I let myself get in a tizzy, sometimes I set the bar a little too high, and then I get all worked up, nervous, upset... and I know it's just not worth it because I am new to all of this and need to take it one step at a time.
All good things come to those who wait, right????

{Summer Bummer}

Whew, we've been busy around here hasn't left much time for blogging, our computer is in the shop and we are all using the kids computer, so I haven't done alot of picture posting, and because I haven't been taking alot of pictures either, shame on me! ha It is seriously so hot that I have been miserable, it hurts it's so hot. I am so ready for cooler weather I can hardly stand it, summer has worn out it's welcome. I have been buying some school supplies lately as I see great deals, I do it behind the kids backs, we don't want to ruin what's left of summer break, bless their little hearts, my sweet babies love to be at home. I can't believe I'll have a 7th grader and a 3rd grader, wow!!! they like school and don't dread going back, so that helps. We got a desk for Cameron's room and now we need to get him a chair and desk accessories, it looks really good in his room, we're looking for Hannah one now, I really like them having their own study space, it's better than being at the kitchen table or the desk in living room, they need some peace. Well, that's about it for now, oh, I have been making a list of some crafty projects that I am anxious to do, alot of it is holiday stuff, I can't wait to "get my craft on" again!!
