Wonderful Weekend!

We had such a good family weekend, Jim got in on Friday evening and we welcomed him with sloppy joe's and tator tots for dinner! and he and Cameron played X-box that night like they always used to. On Saturday it was yard work day, it was very jungly around here, and since we've had so much rain, the yard looks so nice and green, that night we went to the movies to see Bedtime Stories, what a great movie, we all loved it :) and then after the movie we ran over to Barnes and Noble to get my m/inlaw a birthday gift, now you guys know how much I love bookstores, I haven't been to one in awhile and as soon as we walked in and the aroma of coffee hit us I was instantly refreshed and exhilirated!!! Jim took the kids walking around while I browsed for her a new book and a really neat bookmark with her initial on it, (she is a huge reader also) Hannah loves books also, so she and I had to be dragged out of the kids section, ha!Yesterday we went to church and then we came home and had meatloaf for lunch and then headed to my m/inlaws to celebrate her birthday, we had a good time with his family and then came home and read the paper and just hung out, Jim left around 5 this morning, and we started our routine again, well, I need to get I have a guy from Allied Van Lines coming to give us a moving quote, gotta get this ball rolling!!!

On the homefront!

I guess I need to share what's going on with the house, we got an offer on it last week and we accepted it, we close end of next month, so we're happy about that, the kids and I will move when school is out, we really want the kids to finish the school year and we will live with my m/law for the last 3 weeks, so that's a good deal, plus we get to spend some extra time with grandma and she is very excited to say the least!! so everything is working out, Jim's new job is going great, he really likes it and is liking living in a small town, we are still looking for a rental house, all in all things are good! Jim will be home tomorrow for the weekend, we have yard work, touch-ups, etc... I am still trying to get psyched up about moving, I am very routine and don't like change, but, I am realizing that change can be good, people move everyday for heavens sake!! The thing I am most excited about is being near my family, you can't put a price on that!! J tells me "hon, you can come back to Dallas anytime you want" we have so many friends and family here, he's a good man, he is really being understanding and supportive of my apprehension about moving and I love him for that!!! it's been raining the last couple of days, and it's dreary, but that's okay, we need the rain! we're making homemade pizza for dinner tonight, the kiddos fav! and mine too :) Well, I had better run, I need to do some laundry, have a great Thursday!

Cousins!

We had a great spring break in Texarkana, all the cousins were in town together and we had some fun festivities on St. Patrick's Day! We went to the $ store and loaded up on these cute headbands, tatoos... we made green popcorn and I read "The Night Before St. P Day" and we had sooo much fun!!! I just love this picture of them laughing together, these cousins truly love being together!

Savy Shopping and Movies!!

I am really into saving $$ at the grocery store, (who isn't these days) anyway I am having so much fun doing cost comparing, I look through ads from other stores and Walmart honors them, I am saving sooo much $$$. It does take some time, but is so worth it, and I really like seeing how much I save. Here is what I got yesterday, and all these items are all name brands, no store brands:
2 boxes cereal
2 boxes of Cheezits
2 Betty Crocker potato boxes
3 bags rice cakes
3 small bottles Powerade
2 bags chips
2 bags cookies
2 Little Debbie products
1 box granola bars
1 bag salad
1 tube Grands bisquits
1 jug of Purex washing powder
1 box of Toaster strudels

Tonight we are going to see this movie, this is part of Cameron's birthday, he is taking 2 friends, he was waiting for this movie to come out and it starts today, Hannah and I are excited too!! should be great movie. And then tomorrow we are heading to Tex. to see Jim for Spring Break, so we can't wait to see our daddy, it's been 2 looooong weeks!! Have a fantastic weekend!!

Dramatic Dressing

I am at my wits end with Hannah and her clothes, it's truly a big deal! Every morning is a real show down, she doesn't like long sleeves, or heavy coats, or socks... so I can deal with those things, this morning she said she wanted to wear a certain skirt, but the shirt she wanted to wear with it was dirty, so she decides the shirt she wore yesterday would go great! I say, you are not wearing the same shirt 2 days in a row, not gonna happen in this house, she says she doesn't care, I say people will make fun of you (haha!!) so, she gives it up after falling on her bed and squirming around like a 2 year old and decided on another shirt. Here are some other a.m. conversations we have had this week over clothes:

I pick out some shorts

H- "those look like mans shorts"

I find a shirt or 2

H- "those are old"

I say Hannah you have to wear what you have, you have plenty of clothes

H- "but I don't like them"

Oh, well, excuse me I'm thinking, I don't like half the things in my closet, and you wanna talk about "old clothes" don't get me started sista!!

She is really liking Justice clothes these days, or clothes comperable to them, a little girl in her class always wear Justice and H is watching her wants to wear the things she wears, she is really into skirts/skorts and that is fine, when it's cooler weather she wears tights under them, in a couple of months we'll go on a spring/summer shopping trip and she can pick out what she wants as long as I like it too and it doesn't say something like "spoiled brat" or words on the butt that say "sweet" or something like that, no can do!!!

Thank goodness Cameron is still a pretty easy dresser or I would lose my mind every morning!
Oh, I need your prayers, I am taking the kids to Chuck E Cheeses tonight to play games!! Jim's glad he's not apart of this little outing!!! Have a great weekend!!!!

Yumminess

Had a couple of boxes of these babies delivered to my door this afternoon, some Tagalongs and Thin Mints, the Tagalongs were ordered for Jim before he left, and now, well, he's not here and I really don't think we're going to "save" them for him, I sent him a text and told him that I couldn't make any promises on him ever having them! once the kiddos get home they will devour them! Not too much going on here, weather is nice and sunny, Hannah has gym. after school, and that's about it for this evening. We had a nice time in East Texas this weekend seeing Jim and our family, we always do, good times always!! Nothing new on the house, bummer!!! we are ready for it to sell at this point, ready to move on to the next stage in our lives. I made some homemade soup this afternoon and it is sooo good, it's an old family recipe that never fails to please, well, I had better get and wait for Hannah off the bus, talk later!!
