We went to Gulf Shores Alabama for our summer vacation, and we had a great time! I of course took plenty of pictures!!

 

Hello, is anybody out there??

Hello blog world, I have been gone for a long time, a lot of things starting happening in our house shortly after the last post and I just never got around to posting. Everything is fine now, we just hit a rough patch in life. I will post tomorrow and try to catch up!!

{Great Holiday Fun}

We had the BEST 4th of July holiday! We had our family over and had a blast! Lots of eating,  swimming, trampoline jumping, kids playing, adults visiting!

{4th Planning}

The 4th of July is sneaking up on us, as I was looking at my calendar I couldn't believe the 4th is next week, what the what??? I love this holiday though, I really love red, white & blue, it just screams summer to me.

We have just gotten an above ground pool and will put it up this weekend, we are so excited about this as we have wanted one for awhile.  So the 4th will be spent at our house with our family.  We will grill some hot dogs and have some yummy sides, family, swimming and good food is just about the best ever to me!

These shelves are my "fun seasonal shelves" I like to dress them up to the 9's, and I am so proud of it right now, I love it! it makes me happy to look at it.

 I am definently making these, so festive and no doubt they will be good.

 These pop rock cookies look so fun!

 And of course Hannah and I just have to dress our nails up.

This dip is cowboy caviar, I pinned it along time ago and hear it is so good, so you always need a good dip for your picnic.  And I know we will have more things but this is what is planned for now.

I started ordering from them at the first of the year, I had heard so much about it from blogland and how the deals were so good on boutique items.

 

 I have bought scarves, necklaces, and most recently the above.  I ordered bracelet #2 and I got the white watch, the watch is an Anthropologie inspired! who wouldn't love that.  The best part is the bracelet was $2.50 and the watch $11.99! I have been needing a new watch and can't wait to get these in the mail. 

 

The fun part is that they come from 2 different boutiques so I can count on 2 days of fun mail and who doesn't love a great little package waiting in the mailbox, and best of all with shipping and all it was less than $20, and for a bargain gal like myself this is pure bliss to me!  Now go buy yourselves something fun, just for you!

1. I am a BAD blogger, I know I am and I make no apology, its what it is.

2. I really want to blog on a regular basis again, and I have great intentions, that has to count for something huh??

3. Summer is here and its hot here in East Texas, the kids are out and already having a fun summer with friends!

4. I got a kindle reader a few months ago and love it, why I didn't get one sooner is beyond me, its life changing I tell ya!

5. Life is good here in our house and I am so thankful!

{What I'm Loving}

It's Friday, I am feeling good, its amazing what a little sunshine will do for you! After several cold, rainy, dreary days this week the sun is welcome sight! So, I am feeling a things I am loving list coming on, so here goes.

I am addicted to these suckers right here, and have been for a few months now, they are so good!

I have really been doing alot of baking here lately, and my family thanks me for this, my hips not so much!

Sonic cranberry limeade is my happy drink!

Coffee is also and always will be a happy drink also, I have brought my hubby to the coffee side of life and he is addicted too, its nice to drink coffee together.

I always love me some TV, and have several things I must always watch.  I love love love Monday night sitcoms, and some on other nights too.  And on Sunday night I watch The Client List on Lifetime, its a guilty pleasure and it's soo good! And I watch alot of Everybody Loves Raymond, watch it all the time!

I am getting my spring/summer wardrobe all planned out, have found  a few things already.

Getting in the mood for some re-decorating around here,  I have plans to re-paint, re-purpose and re-position! gotta love simplicity! Pinterest has really been a big help in giving me ideas.

That's about it for now folks, we are going out for dinner tonight, it's cooking night off!

 

{A Few Good Fishies}

I need to brag on my guys a minute, they went fishing last weekend with my cousin Preston at a lake close to our house, to say it was a successful trip would be a huge understatement!!

They had so much fun and are ready to go again!!!

{Getting Back, Kids & Weather}

Just jump in, that's what I decided to do with my blogging, just start typing and see where it leads.  I like to think I have had writer's block, this must be what  Danielle Steel does when she has nothing to say, no stories to tell! not quite a great comparison huh!  Last time I was here we talked about Christmas and the new year, now it's almost Easter, how does that happen, someone please tell me?? The school year is almost over, and that is what I hate, not because I don't want my kids home, it's that my baby girl will start jr. high and my son will be a sophmore in high school and I honestly can bearly grasp that in my momma mind.  Yall, I am not kidding, I seriously have a hard time with them growing up on me, I don't mean I lose sleep and worry sick, but I am oh so aware of it alot lately and I just cannot believe where we are at in our lives as far as the kids are concerned. 

 

 But, I will say that there is nothing, nada, that I can do about it and I am so glad they are the people they are turning out to be.  They are my babies, and yes I do baby them, I baby talk them much to their dismay, ha! but I also know that giving them their wings in life is important and I do.  I do have some great kiddos and they bring more joy to our lives than we could ever explain.  In fact, at their ages, 11&15, they are so funny and I love to hear what they have to say, we have so much fun with them.  Jim and I love to have them with us, going out to eat, watching movies, doing anything, we love to be as a family unit!

 We are planning our summer vacation now, we are going to Orange Beach, AL.  Cannot wait!! Part of the fun is the planning and you know I love to plan and map it all out, such satifaction to me!  We have some other fun summer things we are going to do also, we bought a "fixer up boat" awhile ago and my husband is going to bring it alive again and we hope to have some great lake time, it's all about making memories.

We had some good spring weather for awhile and have been really cold again, we are kinda thankful for the cool weather though, summers heavy heat will be here shortly and in Texas we burn up all summer!! I feel we are always griping about the weather, need to quit that, everything in it's own time.  Have a good Monday friends!

{Still not blogging!}

I know I keep promising to get back to blogging, and well it looks like I haven't been doing a very good job at it...I have been blogging for 6 years now, and I just keep getting a block everytime I sit down to blog, it's like I just can't do it.  I have tried several times to start catching up, starting with the holidays, and as i was doing a collage on Picmonkey it all of sudden shut down and erased all my hard work! :(

I then just shut the computer and said forget it  I am not trying again, just didn't have it in me.  The deal is, I want to want to blog, but something keep stopping me.  We have had alot of changes in our life here the last couple of months, nothing negative, but we are busy and then sometimes my MS is giving me aches and pains and I am overwhelmed with everything, trying to prioritize things has been difficult for me.  But, I can't make any promises but I do have good intentions for getting back in the blogging game...
