The kids go back to school tomorrow!!!!!!! (the angels are singing, can you hear them??) did I say that??? no, I must have been talking about something else, or perhaps that Benadryl hasn't worn off just yet, I would nevah wish my kids back to school, not me! It couldn't be because this Spring Break has sucked eggs, not been fun, except the one day we went bowling, but other than that, I'll write this one off thankyouverymuch. Between being nurse maid to my dad, Hannah being sick with a sinus infection and on breathing treatments everyday, Cameron sneezing his head off and me trying not to get a sinus infection but feeling like I am coming pretty darn close, I woke up this morning sounding not so sound, the ol' voice was trying to give out and we didn't make it to church, then we felt like a bunch of losers, but Hannah is going to choir tonight because she has a part in a musical and needs to practice. The snow was so pretty to wake up to this morning though, it has been such pretty weather this week from 70 to 30, maybe that's why I am all jacked up!!!! It's a cozy day though, chili in the crockpot, I baked some cookies, took a nap and my husband cleaned the house so I wouldn't have to do it when I got up, how nice is that? anyways, that's the weekend report, not to exciting huh? maybe next time!!!

{Happenings}

Well hello my friends it has been awhile, but I have been busy taking care of my dad, trying to entertain kids on spring break, cook, clean... you get the picture. We are doing good though, dad is getting better everyday, and it is such a privledge to take care of him, he is a mess if you know him, he keeps us laughing through it all!!! I took Hannah to the doctor on Mon. and she has a sinus infection, so she has been on antibiotic and yesterday was the first day she has been out, my sister and I took the kids bowling and we had so much fun, we had lunch at Wendy's before that, so it was nice to get out for a change, Mom came and sat with dad while we were out. I started this post yesterday and got sidetracked so I'm back and we're pretty much uneventful around here, nothing too interesting to report, but I did order Hannah an Easter dress and it should be in any day and I am so excited about it, and she loves it, her mimi got her some shoes this weekend so she is almost set! I am going to make her a headband to match and I already had the flower to attach to the band and if it goes the way I think it will it will be so cute, Cameron is easy he just gets a new shirt and this year he needs some new kakis, and I am getting a new dress this year also, I am in need! ha! well that's it for now we're watching "Old Dogs" tonight for movie night, we watched "Coraline" last Friday and it was soooo cute! Happy Friday!!

We have been home since Sat. afternoon and everything is going good, he is very sore of course, but doing well, this picture was taken the day after his surgery by my cousin Cindy!

I am so happy to say that my dad's surgery was a success!!!!! can I hear a "Praise God"!!! He is recovering so well, he will be coming home sometime this weekend, and we are so ready to take care of him and get him on his feet again. I decided to "Spring Up" my background, how cute is that! He had his surgery at Arkansas Heart Hospital and it was the best place, his doctor was C.D. Williams and he the master at open heart re-dos, as my dad was, we found out he was mentioned on Paul Harvey's radio show about 10 years ago as being one of the top 10 in the nation, and to top it off my dad always loved Paul Harvey. While at this hospital the last few days we learned so much about heart health, heart disease runs in my dad's family so it's in the genes, and almost all his 6 siblings have it, so aren't we lucky! ha, anyway, they do free cholesterol/blood pressure/glucose screenings there. so my sis and I had ours checked and everything was great, whew! what a relief, and it just makes you want to stay healthy, everywhere you look there are bowls of bananas and apples and we always grabbed one for a snack, not that we always eat bad but it puts things in perspective and me justing turning 40 makes me want to strive even more for a better well being!!

{Dresses}

I plan to wear more dresses this spring/summer, really cute, comfy dresses. We get so hot here in Texas and with my MS and trying to stay comfy a dress is just what I need, I found some really cute ones at Walmart and Target, I am so excited about these because they are so cute, just what I want, and best of all, the prices are great!!

This is Walmart, and it's either Faded Glory or George, both brands are really good, they wash and wear wonderful!

This is from Target, and I think this would be a great dress for Easter Sunday, and love the shoes too! but I also think some red espadrilles would look really fun! My next venture is to find some fun sandals to match up with these cute dresses!

I really want to talk this morning and everytime I start a post I erase it because it doesn't sound or look good, but I am just going to type whatever comes out. I have alot of mixed emotions right now, a little depression, anxiety, and I just hate it, but I made a decision when I got out of bed this morning and took the dog out that I was going to choose a better day for myself, that is all I can do. I think with my dad's surgery next week and then his recovery are looming in my mind, it's a tough ordeal. I am truly trying to adapt the take things as they come and deal with that when it comes, I can't forecast everything, no one can, and that is hard for me, but, it sure is alot easier. At least the sun is shining today, that sure helps a yucky mood, and I am going to run to Hobby Lobby and get some things to finish some projects, that place really gets me going!

Yesterday my sister, dad and myself went to Little Rock for his doctor appt. with the doc. who will be doing his open heart surgery and it went well, he will have it next Tues. morning. Anyway, glad we got that taken care of and we all feel very confident that everything will work out just fine. Jim is off today and we have been really lazy, not doing a darn thing! ha This post is really short today, more later!
